Acceptable Use

What you may and may not do with BufferUp and the social accounts you connect to it.

Effective September 4, 2026

Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses BufferUp, and to all content scheduled, published, or generated through it. It sits alongside the Terms of Service. It also sits alongside the rules of every platform you connect — where a platform’s rules are stricter than ours, the platform’s rules apply.

Authorization to post

You may only connect social accounts you own or have written authorization to manage. If you publish on behalf of a client, you are responsible for holding that authorization and for ending the connection when the engagement ends.

Prohibited content

Do not use BufferUp to create, schedule, or publish content that:

  • Is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates illegal activity.
  • Harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence against a person or group, or promotes hatred on the basis of a protected characteristic.
  • Sexually exploits or endangers minors.
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights.
  • Impersonates a person, brand, or organization, or misrepresents your affiliation with one.
  • Is deliberately deceptive in a way that causes harm — fraudulent offers, fabricated endorsements, manipulated media presented as authentic, or coordinated disinformation.
  • Distributes malware, phishing links, or content designed to compromise a reader.

Prohibited platform behaviour

  • Spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or posting the same content across many accounts to manufacture reach.
  • Engagement manipulation — buying or exchanging followers, likes, comments, or shares, or operating networks of accounts to simulate genuine activity.
  • Circumventing a platform’s rate limits, review processes, or content restrictions, or using BufferUp to access a platform in a way its terms forbid.
  • Scraping or redistributing platform data beyond what your granted permissions and the platform’s terms allow.

Using the AI features responsibly

AI-generated suggestions arrive as editable drafts and never publish on their own. You remain responsible for everything that goes out under your clients’ names. Review AI output for accuracy before scheduling it, do not present AI-generated media as an authentic photograph or recording, and follow each platform’s disclosure rules for synthetic content.

Protecting the service

  • Do not probe, scan, or test the security of BufferUp except as described on our Security page.
  • Do not attempt to access another organization’s workspaces, clients, channels, or content.
  • Do not interfere with the service — no denial-of-service traffic, no deliberate overload of the publishing queue, no reverse engineering to extract credentials or keys.
  • Do not resell or sublicense access to BufferUp without a written agreement.

Enforcement

Where we become aware of a violation, we may remove content, disconnect a channel, suspend an account, or terminate access. Serious violations — particularly those involving harm to people, platform-level abuse, or unauthorized access — may be actioned immediately and without notice, and may be reported to the affected platform or to law enforcement where the law requires it.

Reporting abuse

To report content or behaviour that breaches this policy, email info@nexifyme.com. Include links and enough detail for us to identify what you are reporting.
